Using Setacolor Light paints - dilute with water first at least 1:1 - spray or paint a piece of cotton or silk. Before it has a chance to dry, place items on the surface to create a pattern. Natural items such as feathers, leaves and ferns work well, but you could also try cooking implements, sewing notions or childrens toys! You can cut stencils out of freezer paper too, and temorarily attach them to the fabric using an iron. Put out into the sun and leave to dry. The colour will be paler underneath the items, and you will be left with fascinating results. Try using 2 or 3 colours of paint for interesting results.
