Permanent Dyeset Concentrate is used as a fixative for Green Label Silk Colors dye, and is an alternative to steam setting. To prepare the fixative bath for Jacquard Green Label Silk Colors, add 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) Permanent Dyeset Concentrate per 1 gallon cold tap water. Stir well. Prepare just enough to completely cover the fabric while allowing it room to move freely. Immerse the fabric in the fixative bath. Wash the fabric in cold water and a mild detergent, rinse and allow it to dry. The fabric is now washfast and dry-cleanable. Dyeset can also be used to fix Procion dyes in the first rinse after dyeing.
