Paint the object you want to design with acrylic paint that contrasts with the crackle colour. Allow this to dry completely.

Then apply the crackle paint. The stronger you apply the crackling paint, the more expressive the crackling effect will be. As the paint dries, the crackling effect forms.

PLEASE NOTE Please experiment first on top of your chosen base paint, to ensure it is compatible.
