OUT OF STOCK - Indian Hand-loomed Silk-Linen fabric 72cm wide, by the metre - great for scarves NEW - OUT OF STOCK
This hand-loomed fabric is perfect for luxurious long scarves. It is 72cm wide so you can use the whole width and leave the substantial selvedge as the edge of the scarf, fraying a fringe on the ends.
We suggest purchasing between 1.5-2.00 metres per scarf.
The fabric is light and floaty and perfect for wearing from spring to autumn. It has a slightly crisper feel than the silk-wool mix, but is still soft with a stunning sheen. 40% silk/60% wool.
As the weave is quite open it is probably not suitable for gutta work, but it is perfect for freehand painting, dyeing, tie dye, block printing, screenprinting, decolouring and more.
Use heat-set paints, Procion dyes or steam-fix Jacquard Red Label dyes, as these will work on both the silk and linen content.
Some shrinkage is likely to occur, and as the fabrics are hand-loomed any slubs or variations are inherant to the fabric.
Priced per metre.
