Fine silk, hand-loomed in India from precious Eri/Peace silk where the silkworm is allowed to emerge naturally from the cocoon. Unwashed, this fabric has a glazed finish and a crisp feel. There are natural slubs and variations, which are part of it's inherent charm. We recommend washing the fabric with Synthrapol or a gentle hand wash liquid before dyeing, to remove any natural sericin. Cool hand-wash only, some shrinkage is to be expected.
