Tambour Embroidery - Nurge Tambour Hook Medium (3)

This lovely beech wood tambour hook is used for bead embroidery (also called French embroidery or beading) as well as decorative chain stitch embroidery called tambour work. The hook catches the thread on the backside of the fabric, pulling it to the front side to create loops or attach beads or sequins.

The Nurge Tambour Hook comes with a medium hook which is great for getting started and is appropriate for using general cotton thread on a stable surface fabric.
